Heading South
We’ve been watching the long range weather forecast and have decided to leave 2 days early as a cold front with rain and snow is predicted on our scheduled departure date. Crossing the border was easy with only a 2 minute wait. We were asked if we had any beef on board, and the border guard looked inside the trailer to make sure we didn’t have anyone hiding inside. The night was spent in a Wal-Mart parking lot in Carrollton, Kentucky with 3 other RVs and at least half a dozen trucks —a popular spot.
